Build your own Tier System!

Step 1 – Choose Your Cake Plates

Start by selecting the cake plates that will support each tier of your cake. Plates provide a stable base for every layer and are available in multiple sizes to match the diameter of your cake tiers. Simply choose the size that best fits your cake layer.

Additional plates can also be used to create hollow or “see-through” tiers (see Images). By placing columns between two plates, decorators can add elegant spacing between tiers, creating a taller cake design while reducing the amount of cake needed. This technique is perfect for dramatic wedding cakes and decorative display cakes.

Cake plates form the foundation of your tiered cake system, allowing you to build the structure exactly how you envision it.
